Long Passing Progression

Long Passing Progression is a passing drill for U12-U19 youth soccer players that runs approximately 15 minutes and needs 1 ball per pair.

Setup

Pairs 25-35 yd apart.

How to run it

Drive balls with laces on the ground, then in the air. Receiver controls with one touch, plays back.

Coaching points

  • Plant foot beside the ball
  • Strike through center for driven, under for lofted
  • Follow through toward target
